I am married. I have five children and three grandsons.

 

I enjoy watching football, listening to music, reading, DIY, real ale, holidays and spending time with friends and family.

Here is a bit of my work history:

  • 1980 Sheet Metal Worker. Various companies, including Self-Employed, Duties included: designing, making and fitting various sheet metal products. Included employing and/or supervising staff. Worked all around U.K. and in various places around the world.

 

  • 1999 Chris trained as a Driving Instructor with B.S.M. This involved regular training courses to upgrade skills. The job role meant that time management became very important and good record keeping was essential. Organising work schedules for  employees, process writing lesson plans and report cards for pupils, creating advertisements for Internet and local newspapersand bookkeeping where among the duties performed. 

 

  • 2004 Chris set up A2B 2Day Courier Services. This involved driving vehicles upto 7.5 tonnes throughout the UK and Mainline Europe.  Organising work schedules for collections and deliveries. Creating advertisements for Internet and local newspapers. Bookkeeping. 

 

  • In 2006 Chris began  an AAT (Accountancy) course at Knowsley Community College.

 

  • 2007 Passed AAT Foundation NVQ Level 2

 

  • 2007 he passed his local knowledge test to become a licensed Sefton Private Hire Driver. Organising work schedule. Bookkeeping. 

 

  • 2007 Treasurer: Knowsley 5th Kirkby1st Scouts (Volunteer): Purchase Ledger Control, Sales Ledger Control, Credit control, Bank Reconciliations, Keeping accounts, Preparing Annual Reports, Banking

 

  • 2008 Passed AAT Intermediate NVQ Level 3

 

  • 2009 Passed AAT Technician NVQ Level 4

 

  • 2009 A2B Bookkeeping Services was set up. Purchase Ledger Control, Sales Ledger Control, Credit control, Bank Reconciliations, Keeping accounts, Preparing Annual Reports, Banking

 

  • 2010 Began a Foundation Degree in Accountancy (level 5) at Edge Hill University

 

  • 2009 Opened GKC Training Ltd a director. Managing BTEC/NVQ and Online courses. Part of the management team overseeing 16 assessors and approx. 3,000 candidates. One of my main responsibilities is to ensure the smooth running and updating of the office systems and supervising our Business Admin Apprentice.

 

  • 2012 Passed Foundation Degree in Accountancy (level 5)

  •  

  • 2018 Passed QuickBooks Online Core Certification
